Some would say this is a good family campground. It would appear that half the inner city of Detroit comes out here for the summer; most sites have multiple vehicles and from 6 - 10 people (by actual count). All the sites are dirt - no gravel, etc. So after every rain the entire CG is one big mud patch. Otherwise it is a dusty mess. At $39/night I would expect a little nicer site. There are many amenities avail - all at a cost. We have family in Southeastern Michigan and this is about the only CG avail in this area for our bi-annual visits. So over the past 5 years we probably have spent more total nights here than most anywhere else in the US. Without doubt we dislike this more than anywhere else.

This is an older CG and the drive roads are a bit narrow. But most sites have a concrete pad with concrete pad for picnic table and a wood fence between sites for privacy. My overall rating is perhaps a point higher because of very friendly and helpful owner, who seems to be everywhere at once 24 hours a day. Plus the grounds are very well maintained and clean. This was a repeat visit for us. No pool or other amenities, but we stayed here 8 days. Very convenient to Asheville.

This was a repeat visit for us. Associated with an RV sales and service operation. Good parts center. Large portion of sites are permanent - workers and service personnel for the nearby Air Force base. Because it is not really near anything, it is very quiet and pleasant - even considering its large size. Grounds are well maintained. 6 miles off interstate 75, but still convenient for an overnight stop.

Older park with very narrow roadways. More than half the RV's appear to be permanently installed. Heavy car repairs going on in 3 sites. More dogs in park than campers. Staff was present in body but not in mind. Asked for a 50 amp pull-thru for 36'+ attached car. Site assigned was only 30 amp and about 10 feet too short. Moved to another that was OK. This was an overnight sleep stop; next time will use the CG about 500' down the road.

Park is only a couple years old. New owner as of end of May. He was exceptionally nice and showed concern that everything was to our satisfaction. Long wide sites that are perfectly level. Good water and pressure. Strong, consistent power. Very convenient off/on I65, but far enough that road noise was not a problem. Even a nearby train track was not bothersome. Not a lot of amenities but then we never use the pools, volley ball nets, etc. that obviously you end up paying for. Makes a great "base camp" for exploring that area of Kentucky. They have a very nice looking group activity center & excellent pavilion so this probably would make an excellent place for a small group rally. I absolutely will stop here again.

An older CG that fits like a comfortable old glove. Very woodsy. Most sites are reasonably level. Good staff. We stay here often and will continue.

This is the second year we have spent the winter months here. The location is excellent. Sites are very spacious with concrete patio and picnic table. Lots of old trees. Bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. Laundry equip. is old and unreliable, but in gradual process of being replaced. Nice large clubhouse for activities, but all in one large space. I give this park a "6" rating for the following reasons: ---- DOGS!!!! too many, too big, and not always picked up after!!!!!!!! ---- In 2+ months the leaves (from large Live Oaks) were not raked a single time. ---- The new lady manager seems to convey the image of a den mother looking after her elderly residents and she knows what is best. If the above 3 issues were corrected this would be a very highly rated resort/park. But after 2 seasons here, we probably will winter someplace else.

A relatively new RV park made in a field beside a cemetery (at least the neighbors are quiet). Very large sites but most are not level. No picnic tables at any site. No pool or any other facilities. Laundry room totally inadequate for the number of sites. A bit pricey for what is provided.

Rate of $10 is escapees member rate, plus electric. All escapees parks are basic simple parks. No pool, no frills; but I rarely see anybody using such amenities where available, so why pay for them. Very clean and spacious. Good club house with books, pool table, lots of movies for loan. Pancake/sausage breakfast on Saturdays. Easy in and out. A little road noise, but not bad. Yes, the demographics are older, but for a night stop-over, can't be beat.

A little pricey for what is available, but most everything around Santa Fe is. Very friendly staff. Beautiful views. Close enough to I-25 to be convenient, but far enough to be very quiet. We liked it (and Santa Fe) well enough that we stayed 7 days. VERY high winds 4 days/nights so everything was very dusty; but that is not fault of CG. Had 2 heavy rains so the interior gravel roads became a bit rutted. We definitely will stay here again.

KOA should take their name off this park. Spaces are so narrow that nobody can put out a patio awning; there barely is enough space to extend window awnings. Some spaces have picnic table - many (incl. our's) do not. The park is immediately adjacent to a very busy freeway. The noise goes on all night. The surrounding is VERY seedy; several restaurant and gas station sites boarded and fenced - abandoned. Yes, you could walk to a casino about 1/2 mile, but I sure would not feel safe. This is a park to avoided!!!

Very nice park, although you would expect that for the very high price. Beautiful setting and only about 20 miles into Key West. Very friendly staff. Lots of activities available.

The main feature of this part is location! location!! location!!! Right on the beach. All lots are owned by individuals. Some Park models and many perm. rv's. Interior roads are a bit narrow, but I was able to maneuver our 36' motorhome OK. No activities, but we were not looking for any. Our only complaint of any significance was that too many residents believed the "poop & scoop" rules did not apply to them. So there was way too much dog poop; not fun when you are returning from the beach in flip flops. No WiFi. So while I don't like the dog situation, we will stay here again next year because of the location.

This is a very rustic cg. Many sites are not too level. Very friendly and helpful owner/operator. This certainly is not a "Class A" campground but we enjoyed our 4 night stay and certainly will stay again.
